¡Ayudémoslas!

La ablación es otra forma milenaria de mantenernos excluidas y calladas. Durante cientos de años, en Africa y Asia, las mujeres son etiquetadas y enseñadas desde la niñez a pertenecer solo a su marido.
Como probetas vivientas, muchas de ellas han pedido ayuda. Unas en silencio, otras, con la valentía de esta joven mujer nombrada Embajadora de los Derechos de la Mujer Africana.
Criticar sus costumbres por llevar velo islámico y confundirlo con el burka, es un insulto para todas aquellas mujeres que se sienten identificadas con el velo por su femineidad.
Criticar es muy fácil ¿Y si las ayudaramos mejor? ¿Y si todas gritaramos unidas por la erradicación del burka y de la ablación?
Callarnos no ayudaría a nada. Criticarlo con el convencimiento de que llevamos la razón, aún menos. Miremos en positivo y aunémos fuerzas. Esa, amigas, es la única solución.

Para quienes no han visto la película basada en un hecho real, se la recomiendo. Fue estrenada en marzo de 2010 y va camino de la tan preciada estatuilla de Holliwood. La escena que me hizo llorar fue cuando le hicieron la ablación cortando todos sus genitales a esa pequeña de 3 años y de como los buitres se comieron su carne.
